About us
Yarra’s Edge Community Space is part of Active Melbourne, which is owned by City of Melbourne and run by YMCA Victoria.
We have a number of rooms available for hire which can accommodate a broad range of activities including meetings, rehearsals readings, workshops, small celebrations and a range of recreational activities.
Facilities
Yarra’s Edge Community Space includes:- two bookable spaces;
- tables and chairs available for all rooms;
- kitchen access;
- and all-abilities accessible bathrooms.

Foyer
The foyer is ideal for large functions, movement classes, rehearsals and meetups. There is white wall space for projections.
This space caters for up to 70 people (standing) and 50-60 people (theatre style). -
Meeting room
Our meeting room isdeal for presentations, movie screening or academic classes. There is white wall space for projections.
This space caters for up to 25 people (standing), 15 people (theatre style) and 10-12 people (boardroom style). -
Kitchen, toilets and additional facilities
Kitchen
The kitchen is a communal shared area and access is included in the cost of room hire. Kitchen facilities include: microwave, hot water dispenser, chilled water, fridge and sink. Tea and coffee can be provided in business hours.
Toilets
Our toilets are an all-abilities accessible bathroom.
Flexible set-up
Furniture, portable projectors, projector screen and whiteboards are all able to be moved from one room to the other so you may set up to your liking. Our tables can fit 6-8 people around each one.
WiFi
Please note, unfortunately WiFi is not available at this location.
